Very rare 1972 ZR1 Corvette with less than 25k original miles. 1 of 20 built in 1972. The ZR1 was the heavy-duty version of the LT1, a high-winding small block. In addition to the LT1, the ZR1 package included an M22 “Rock Crusher” 4-speed heavy duty transmission, J56 Heavy duty power brakes, J50 Power Brakes, transistorized ignition, special heavy-duty aluminum radiator, F41 HD suspension that included special springs, shocks and front and rear sway bars. This car is dressed in Pewter Silver over Saddle interior. It was purchased new by Albert Stephan from Rosenthal Chevrolet in Arlington, VA. This car is a 3-owner car and is loaded with original documentation from the Original VA title, Protect-O-Plate, Tank Sticker and Inspection receipts which document its low mileage. This car was purchased by a significant collector from the original owner. This ZR1 was then treated to world-renown Kevin Mackay of Corvette Repair to undergo a complete frame-off restoration. As many original pieces were retained during the restoration as could be, including the complete original interior. Once the restoration commenced, this car went on to obtain multiple NCRS Top Flight Awards, Bloomington Gold and the Muscle Car & Triple Diamond Award. A rare opportunity to own one of the rarest Corvettes.
